Why we Fundraise at Children's Workshop

We at Children’s Workshop want all families to fully understand why we do fundraising throughout the year. It is an important part of our everyday finances. Our goal is to educate your children and watch them grow within a safe and fun environment. In order do so and keep our tuition cost at a competitive level, we need to fundraise. The money we raise goes back into making our classrooms and programs even better!  

This includes:

  • Create a safe, clean environment and pay our staff fairly.

  • Ongoing Playground Improvements, including new toys, shade areas and playground upkeep. 

  • Classroom Enhancements, including the purchasing of new books, toys and specific curriculums that enrich and update the classroom environment.

  • Staff Development, so our teachers continue to receive updated research, fun ideas, and can explore new materials for our children.  Your dollars allow our teachers to attend the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and/or the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children (MAEYC) conferences.

You are not obligated to participate on these fundraisers, however, we do ask that you do what you can so we can keep this program at a competitive level.  If you prefer to make a voluntary cash contribution instead of participating in our fundraisers, we budget $100 per student.  Thank you!

Classroom Wish Lists (Sign Up Genius)

  • On Scholastic's home page, Create an account, check that you are a parent. Then, click the "register" button to create an account and enter our 5 digit code: GP6GC

  • SELECT the books you'd like to order from the fliers sent home and view over 500 titles available online...and take advantage of online-only specials and discounts.

  • ORDER online by the due date. Books will be delivered directly to our classroom.

  • Of course, you can still order using the form from the printed flyer there will be a collection box at the sign in table. Ordering online is fast, easy, and secure. Plus our whole class benefits thanks to the FREE books we'll earn with every parent online order.
